The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about writing and eager to gain hands-on experience crafting both feature articles and breaking news? As our Journalist/Content Writer, you'll have the unique opportunity to develop your skills across a range of content types, from in-depth features that explore the latest trends in aesthetics to timely news pieces that keep our audience informed and engaged.

You'll collaborate closely with the editorial team to craft compelling, well-researched, and accurate content. Your sharp eye for detail and flair for writing will ensure every piece you create resonates with our readers. Plus, you'll have the chance to work with external authors, editing and guiding their contributions to align with our editorial standards.

In this multifaceted role, you'll do much more than just write articles. You'll be at the heart of the action, attending product launches, clinic openings, and industry events. Whether you're trialling the latest products or treatments, interviewing key players in the field, or hosting Instagram Lives, your work will bring the cutting-edge world of medical aesthetics to life for our audience.

Building relationships is key in this role. You'll connect with expert contributors, advertisers, and industry leaders, deepening your knowledge of the medical aesthetics market.

Beyond the Journal, you'll be involved in our flagship events - ACE, CCR, and the Aesthetics Awards ceremony - where you'll contribute to content creation and conduct interviews that capture the highlights.

Essential Criteria:

• A degree in Journalism or NCTJ qualification (a degree in English will be considered if the candidate has completed
• modules/work experience in journalism or medical writing)
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Experience in proofing and editing
• Knowledge and experience in utilising social media business accounts including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Motivation and a ‘can do attitude’ to ensure that all content is delivered on time and to a high standard
• Excellent communication skills and professional conduct
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• An interest in (or knowledge of) the medical aesthetics market

Preferred Criteria:

• At least 1 years’ experience in content, news or feature writing
• Experience in writing for a trade publication or medical audience
• Experience in relationship building with key contacts for example PRs, contributors and advertisers
• Experience in conferences or events
• Experience with membership platforms
